Everyone sees what they should. So does the AI.
Permissions in Alas are set by team and by feature. The Assistant, the Claude connector and the apps always respect them, because they act as the user who's using them.
Teams, levels and effective permissions.
A user belongs to one or more teams.
North Sales, Aftersales, Management. Each dealership defines its own teams.
Each team has a level for each feature.
No access, read or write. For example, write access to customer messaging lets you send messages.
The highest level for each feature wins.
If a user is on two teams, they get the higher level of the two, feature by feature.

What doesn't change, whichever tool you use.
Always as the user
The Assistant, the Claude connector and the apps act as your user. They see what you can see, nothing more.
Human approval
Actions that commit the dealership, like sending a message, ordering a unit or reserving a part, require approval.
Data kept separate by dealership
Each dealership's data is kept separate. No dealership sees another's information.
Farmers see their own
The dealership's customers see only their own information: their machines, their alerts, their quotes.
Permissions in the Data Lake too
Each dashboard has visibility by team. Collections can be limited to Finance and Management.
Sign in with your user
The Claude connector is authorized with your Alas user. If the user is deactivated, access is cut off.
